On November 4th and 5th, 2016 Lindsay Rice with Rice Racing will be participating in the Rally for Kids with Cancer event in Toronto, Ontario.
Now in its ninth year, the Rally for Kids with Cancer event in Toronto has been successful in raising over $17 million in donations for the Sick Kids Foundation.
The event includes a full day scavenger hunt, also known as the ‘Scavenger Cup’, where the participants will drive to different ‘pit stops’ in the city to collect points for their team. The event is finished off with the Winner’s Circle Awards Galada dinner, with guest ambassadors from Sick Kids who will come to share their story with participants.
Lindsay will be volunteering her time to the event with her team, ‘Team Rice’, to support the awareness for Sick Kids funding needs. All proceeds from the event are put towards cancer research and cancer treatment in children across the Greater Toronto Area.
Rice, excited for her first ever year with Rally for Kids, speaks out about the upcoming event, “This event is something really spectacular. The way that it runs is very smart and fun, and it gets the donors involved for a cause. One of the stops in the scavenger hunts will bring us to the Sick Kids hospital to meet some of the current patients there, so that will be really amazing to be involved in.”
