Rice Secures Top 10 Placement at both Opening Rounds of the Canadian Touring Car Championship

Lindsay Rice, pilot of the #18 Rice Racing Audi RS3 LMS secured herself two top-10 positions in Rounds 1 & 2 of the 2019 Canadian Touring Car Championship.

Just last weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park's Victoria Day Speedfest, Rice secured herself two top-10 finishes in the TCR category, taking home valuable points for the championship

"Our first weekend of 2019 was very, very busy." says Rice, "I had to get to know my new team (M1GT Racing), my new car, a new car set up, and on top of this I had to get acquainted with driving at high speeds again after 7 months out of the race car. I look back at the weekend and I am proud to say that we did it all, and we did it well."

The #18 Rice Racing Audi RS3 LMS was seen amongst the very competitive TCR field, which was made up of mostly Audi RS3 LMS's identical to Lindsay's car. Rice clinched herself 10th position in Round 1, and 9th position in Round 2 of the championship, giving her an overall 185 points in the TCR category.

"I was opened up to a lot last weekend in my race car!! It was a big learning curve for me because it is my first time ever competing in a spec-category where cars are identical to each other. The field is extremely competitive because of this. I am looking forward to the races ahead because we have a very professional foundation to see our placements rise to the podium as the season progresses."

The next rounds of the Canadian Touring Car Championship take place at Kyle Nash Memorial Weekend at Calabogie Motorsport Park on June 1-2nd, 2019.
