Obsidian Group, Inc. Becomes Key Sponsor for Rice in 2017 Season


Hospitality Company puts Lindsay Rice’s Porsche 911 in the fast lane for the upcoming season

(MISSISSAUGA, May 8, 2017) Mississauga-based Obsidian Group has become a Platinum sponsor for local race car driver Lindsay Rice for her upcoming season.

Obsidian Group manages a number of well-known chains throughout Ontario: Chuck’s Roadhouse, Crabby Joe’s Bar • Grill, Coffee Culture Café & Eatery and Union Burger.

All these familiar names will be seen for the first time on the #18 Rice Racing Porsche 911 this weekend at the BEMC Spring Trophy races at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville. This is the same race weekend that Rice took home four podium wins in just last year.

ABOUT LINDSAY RICE

Lindsay Rice is a young race car driver from the city of Mississauga, Ontario. She began competitively racing just last year in Grand Touring racing, placing herself on the podium in seven of her ten races in her Porsche 911. Lindsay is an aspiring professional driver, a businesswoman, and is well-versed in marketing and brand recognition. The young driver competed in four race series in 2016, including CASC Racing, Porsche Club Racing, the Canadian Touring Car Championship and the Nissan Micra Cup Series. For 2017, Lindsay Rice will compete across Canada and the United States. Her full schedule is still to be announced.
