Lindsay Rice with Canadian Touring Car Championship at Victoria Day Speedfest 2018

(Toronto, ON) Lindsay Rice competed with the Canadian Touring Car Championship field this past weekend at the Victoria Day Speedfest weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Known as the season opener for racing teams in Canada, the Victoria Day Speedfest in 2018 brought in over 60, 000 attendees to the previous Formula One racing track. This weekend has a roster of high-level racing series including Pirelli World Challenge, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada, NASCAR Pinty's series, and the Nissan Micra Cup.
Rice entered the GT Sport category in her #18 Rice Racing Audi RS3 LMS, amongst other TCR cars in the open class category. The race took place on Saturday, May 19th at 5:10pm. Lindsay Rice qualified on Saturday as 6th in class, and during the race held this 6th place in her category. Rice finished 6th in class in the second round of the Touring Car races for 2018.

“This weekend was my second weekend out in the car. It was really all about getting on track and learning as much as we could. This weekend was a success for me, taking home 6th place, and I look forward to making more moves this season and hopefully bringing home a win in the weekends to come!” Lindsay Rice states.
Lindsay Rice attended the annual autograph session with her competitors to sign autographs and meet fans. The #18 Audi RS3 LMS was on display for all attendees to see.

Watch out for Lindsay Rice at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on July 28-29, where she will return with the Race Ontario Championship series in GT2 category.
